Bio and Mission Statement

In my work, I aim to bridge the gap between the seen and the felt, using visual mediums to connect with others in ways that transcend words. Through oil, acrylic, graphite, and gold leaf, I explore the universal longing that resides in us all—a yearning for something greater, something beyond this world. Birds, recurring symbols in my art, are creatures of both the earth and the sky, constantly moving toward something unseen, yet deeply felt. This motif reflects my own fascination with the tension between the tangible and the intangible, the grounded and the transcendent. I invite viewers to consider the sources of their own longing; the things that hold them, the things that pull them somewhere higher.

I use multiple mediums to convey my ideas and concepts, straying from pure realism but incorporating some elements of reality in dreamlike scenes and environments. My work communicates ideas and concepts I struggle to find the words for, and is the only method I have found that lets me authentically and purely convey these concepts. As Edward Hopper said; "If I could say it in words there would be no reason to paint". In all my work, I aim to connect with others in the way that only art can. Drawing on the power of memory, grief, and hope, I attempt to find and bring to light the golden threads that connect us all.
